Right in the middle of the Mediterranean just south of Sicily, Malta is a popular stop off on many cruises with a variety of departure ports and itineraries to choose from, from Rome, Barcelona, Dubrovnik and Athens and, of course, Valletta itself. As a small island, most tourist spots away from the port of Valletta are only around 20-30 minutes drive away, such as Popeye Village, St Paul's Catacombs, Harq Hamiem Valley, Victoria Lines, or the Inquisitor's Palace, Kordin Temples and Hal Saflieni Hypogeum
