Lovely food, attentive staff, good choice of complimentary drinks and great itinerary BUT the wifi was ridiculously expensive and not worth having and the trips were vastly over-priced with most tour guides speaking incredibly poor English. Would have expected agents to have vetted the tour guides more thoroughly for the price that we paid. Finally we were disappointed with the complete and utter lack of information and safety guidance from the Captain on the final sea day where we ended up tossed all over the place after being told at breakfast time that seas would calm down later.

Second cruise with Azamara, this time around Japan. All staff are excellent, boat beautiful. No real formal evenings so no dressing up noticeable. White night party was lovely, service excelllent. The Captain runs an excellent ship and clearly loves his job, entertaining the passengers with his technical accounts of managing the ship under difficult weather conditions, his obvious enthusiasm and nightly mention of bow thrusters or similar that would need to be engaged to get us safely away from the pier was amusing and entertaining, he certainly was engaged with the passenger experience and the crew appeared devoted to him.
