We have just spent an 8 day 7 night cruise on the AmaDara sailing on the Mekong river. The trip was excellent and very well organised. Good food on the boat, excellent service from very friendly and helpful staff. A special mention for our waitress Narong on the top deck (where we chose to have lunch every day) and for James in the main dining room. Our tour guide on this trip was AK - Ho Manh Thang (apologies if I have AK's full name misspelt) and our 'Orange' tour guide was Minh (Tran Kien Minh) - who we can definitely recommend for promotion. Between them these two professionally organised our many shore trips while in Vietnam. Their knowledge enabled them to give us as much information as we could take in and more!! AK stayed with us when we crossed into Cambodia and our new 'Orange' tour guide was Fin. Again very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. We definitely recommend AmaDara for a holiday and will now be researching other river cruises with AmaWaterways

An amazing but very emotional holiday visiting Vietnam and Cambodia. Highly recommended we were well looked after by local guides and crew.

I was impressed with the attention to detail throughout the holiday and the majority of the staff were excellent. My only criticism, and that of a lot of the British onboard, would be how much the boat management pandered and fawned over the American guests - knowing their names and sitting with them at meals, joking and generally treating them like royalty. Whereas the Cruise Manager asked who we were on the day before we left the ship! The guides from both countries were very well informed and pleasant. I would recommend the cruise.

Excellent holiday, first class care, very spoilt. It felt like one big family. The food was outstanding and the crew couldn't do enough. The accommodation was perfect. The ship very clean. We couldn't have wished for a better holiday.

Really good holiday, everyone was fantastic and couldn’t do enough to help. Son the cruise manager was brilliant, along with Marcus, Maria and Makara. Cannot really fault except needs to have a drinks package in place to purchase because my drink (wine) was only available with meals.I would have even been wiling to pay for it.
