Celebrity Quest Cruise Holidays with Celebrity Cruises

Celebrity Cruises - Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity Cruises' largest vessel will make her grand debut in winter 2008.

Celebrity Cruises - Celebrity Solstice

Celebrity Solstice is to be the next grand addition to the Celebrity Cruises fleet, their first since 2002 when they launched the Millennium-class ship Constellation.

In honour of the ship's namesake, Celebrity Solstice cruise holidays went on sale for Celebrity 'Captain's Club' members on 21st June, this year's summer solstice.

Celebrity Solstice is to be the first of four Solstice-class ships, making her debut in the Caribbean in 2008.

She is set to be Celebrity Cruises' largest liner by far, weighing a mighty 122000 tonnes with a passenger capacity of 2852.

Celebrity Solstice will embark on her 7-night Eastern Caribbean maiden voyage on 14th December 2008. Sailing out of vibrant Fort Lauderdale she will venture over the glistening Caribbean Sea to lively San Juan in Puerto Rico, colonial Basseterre in St Kitts and bustling Philipsburg, the capital of Dutch St Maarten.

Aside from the itinerary details, Celebrity Cruises are playing their cards close to their chests regarding the new arrival, unveiling very few specific details about Celebrity Solstice's features and amenities. However, they have been a little more generous with the information regarding her exciting range of staterooms.

Celebrity Solstice will be the first Celebrity ship to feature AquaClassSM cabins. These spacious veranda staterooms, located on the prestigious Penthouse Deck, have been designed exclusively for spa lovers. All 130 AquaClassSM rooms will feature a 53-square-ft balcony and will provide guests with unlimited access to the nearby AquaSpa relaxation room and the Persian Garden – an exotic aromatherapy steam room.

AquaClassSM passengers will also be entitled to complimentary dining in Blu, a chic boutique restaurant that will be in keeping with the rest of the ship’s chic minimalist décor. It is speculated that Blu, with its close proximity to the AquaSpaSM and AquaClassSM cabins, will serve a range of healthy gastronomic delights.

Another class of stateroom will also be making a debut onboard Celebrity Solstice; the Family Veranda Stateroom. With a generous 753-square-ft of space that houses a comfortably-sized living area, a separate master bedroom, a small single room and a spacious balcony, these suites will be just perfect for families on a Celebrity cruise holiday.

Out of her 1425 staterooms, 85% will have verandas and all will have luxurious European bed linen, flat-screen TVs, wireless internet access and smarter storage space. Celebrity Solstice will also have the classic Celebrity suite accommodations; the Penthouse, Royal, Celebrity and Sky suites will all benefit from a range of butler-style extras as well as free espresso and cappuccino.

With an emphasis on space and natural light, Celebrity Solstice will have expansive decks, rich colour palettes and larger than standard sized cabins throughout.

Lucky Celebrity Solstice guests are sure to love the new ship's chic design. Her cool, sleek lines, plush contemporary furnishings and modern innovation will combine seamlessly with Celebrity Cruises' highly personal service to create a new level of refined elegance.
