As you'd expect from the name, the Crown Princess is a royal treat of a ship with long, spacious decks and stunning, carefully-decorated interiors.
The prestigious Crown Princess can easily be compared to several others of the classy Princess fleet, including the Golden Princess and Star Princess. However, due to the larger size of the ship and its additional decks and cabins, the only comparison is the equally grand Caribbean Princess.
The Crown Princess is renowned for its excellent Caribbean cruises from New York and cultured European cruises. And so without further ado, let's take a look at what's inside.
If it's sophisticated dining you want, then you've come to the right ship. There are three main dining rooms onboard the Crown Princess and two speciality restaurants, which really does give you a large amount of choice when eating. The Michelangelo Dining Room is the place to be for a cosy evening meal with its delectable cuisine and efficient staff. For a more relaxed eating experience, you'll be more comfortable in the Botticelli Dining Room where booking isn't necessary.
Before or after meal drinks are also a must on this calming, prestigious cruise ship. The Wheelhouse Bar is a great meeting point to chat and enjoy the soft atmosphere with your favourite tipple. It's also a good place to finish the day with a nightcap. If you're looking for something a little more lively, the Skywalkers Nightclub is where the crowd gathers to dance, while the Explorers Lounge is the best spot for drinks in a more bustling and happening environment.
The Crown Princess is home to one of the largest casinos at sea. Gatsby's Casino is the perfect stop for an entertaining night of games with a few cocktails to accompany your hand. Elsewhere on the ship, the Movie Under the Stars cinema really works well. You can settle back with a beer and some popcorn under a beautiful clear sky and watch the latest flicks in style. Not forgetting the world-class art gallery and Las Vegas style shows at the Princess Theater, you'll never be short of fun onboard.
The active cruisers out there will be delighted with how the Crown Princess caters for fitness. The Sports Court offers a whole array of games from basketball to tennis, whilst the onboard 9-hole putting green will please golfers. The modern gym and jogging track are perfect for a morning wake-me-up and a neat addition to the ship is the pool with a current, so you can exercise your swim with a bit more challenge. After getting hot and sweaty, the Lotus spa will provide all your relaxation needs with Asian-inspired treatment to ease out any stress.

What our customers say
Thank you for the usual Iglu super service. For some reason on checking onto the ship we were upgraded from our balcony cabin to Yacht Club Class on 16th Deck – we felt like VIPs the whole time. As one other family who had booked through Iglu were also upgraded (they travelled out of Gatwick same holiday dates as us) we believe the VIP or VICompany was Iglu, not us. We could only conclude that MSC wanted to impress Iglu customers. Whatever the reason, it certainly helped considerably to add to our enjoyment of the holiday. thanks again and a very Happy New Year to all at Iglu. Elizabeth Boyle (January 2015) Read more feedback
