done 13 cruises now different ships ,thought brilliance was a lovely clean ship crew helpful and plenty of good food. wasnt happy at the gratuities stopped me drinking to much. my biggest gripe was life boat drill we didnt need our life jackets how stupid, a lot of people were 1st timers and really needed to know how they were worn.

We found the Brilliance of the Seas to be a beautiful ship. Water views everywhere. The Champagne bar is my wife's favorite with spectacular views out a wall of glass. The food of the steakhouse was of high quality. The service was the best part, the waiter and waitress in the dining room, cabin and even bartender were the most friendly I have seen. Going back to the ship itself, there are a lot of cozy areas to chill out and enjoy some quite time, or ocean and sea gazing. There is a bank of elevators that overlook the ocean which my wife find it breathtaking sight. This was a wonderful cruise and one we will long remember.

We had a wonderful time 5 star treatment and would recommend this cruise to anyone. It was our first experience of a cruise and would think about another one after the treatment we received. The food was fantastic and so was the on ship entertainment. We enjoyed all the trips but felt they were quite expensive and could have been done on your own but did not have the knowledge or experience as it was our first cruise. We would have saved 100 dollars and had a extra day in Venice for the cost. We would strongly recommend that you visit Croatia if you go on this cruise as it is a beautiful place.

As this was our first cruise we were not sure what to expect. So when we arrived and were ushered into the reception area it became an exciting adventure. The crew on shore and then on board were both attentive and polite. Nothing was ever a bother and the attention to detail was impressive. The standard of accommodation was excellent and the food was of an excellent calibre and plenty available. The craftmanship shown by the galley crew was absolutely mind-blowing. We did not go on any of the excursions but enjoyed our own time exploring the different ports. One thing that we found disappointing was the brevity of the stop at Corfu, it felt as if we had barely landed when we were having to return onboard. I certainly have commended our trip to many friends and I would like to thank the crew for making our Silver Wedding celebratory trip so memorable.

We travelled on the Brilliance of the Seas this summer, as first time cruisers. 2 adults, an 18 year old and a 12 year old. Because of the difference in ages of our 2 boys, holidays have to be considered carefully, making sure that there is plenty to entertain everyone, we need not have worried with this holiday, everyone was entertained 24/7. The ship was immaculate and considering the amount of people on board this is no mean feat. All public areas and state rooms were spotless. The food was 5*+ and the service was something like I had never experienced anywhere before. Staff were all friendly, polite, courteous and knowledgeable. We docked in some beautiful places and disembarking and excursions ran like clockwork - we never once felt like we didn't know what was going on. Staterooms were comfortable and plenty big enough with comfy comfy beds. We are now cruise converts - in fact I said recently to my 12 year old 'where shall we go on holiday next year?' His answer 'do you mean - where shall we cruise to?' Highly recommended.

Having travelled on this ship two years earlier I was most disappointed to find it was looking a bit tired. Still a lovely ship but looking a tad dog eared. Check in was a breeze. Food was consistently good however the main dining room meals become a little monotonous and didn't vary much each night. I never failed to find something to eat though and it was always ok just not particularly special. We had a meal at Portofinos and that 'was' amazing! So special. What I imagined every night would be like when cruising. Windjammer was great. Lots of choice, nice lay out so very little queuing. Great salad choices, breads, meats etc. We also loved the Seaview cafe. It was always empty? Lovely Panini’s, pizza was ok and the pasta was lush! Entertainment really let this cruise down. The shows were shockingly bad. The entertainment staff have an easy ole cruise as they appear to do hardly any shows. When I was previously on the brilliance the dancers were always in the Colony club early evening getting people up on the dance floor and partnering single people. None of that on this cruise. There was very little to keep us occupied. There were 9 sea days on this cruise and I really thought they would have put on extra stuff. The bars were great. We spent most nights in the champagne bar. The bar staff in there (Rusty and others) were very friendly and entertaining. It’s a shame that Rusty felt the need to add a $40 tip for himself onto our last receipt. Left a very bad taste in our mouth as we had tipped him $2 on top of the standard 15% on every round. Customer services were great and took it instantly off for us. I am pleased I checked my final account on the morning of departure! I wonder how many others he may have done this too who hadn't checked? Lots of little annoyances with this cruise. Change of port due to striking, pirates meaning we couldn't use outside decks or balconies for a few days of our cruise, sick passenger meaning we had to speed through areas to get to land quicker, wrong announcement of arrival time in Suez canal so we missed the entrance.... We had a nice time but if we hadn't got this cruise for such a cheap price then we would have been royally cheesed off.

This was our very first cruise and was everything and more than we expected. The itinerary (Dubai to Mumbai) was exactly what we wanted, there was a slight glitch with one of the excursions, but it was sorted out by the very efficient staff. Our stateroom was great, looked after by a lovely young lady and kept immaculate every day (the towel "animals" were a lovely touch). The eateries were great and varied, the choice of food was overwhelming, so much so that by the end of our trip we felt that we had tried all that was on offer and then some!! The only downside we found was the price of the drinks onboard, I have never seen so many people drinking water!!!!!! We will definatley be booking again with Royal Carribean in the not too distant future.

Recently my daughter and I cruised to Dubia and India. The planning of the cruise company was excellent we arrived in Dubia at 6 am. The Royal Carribean stewards were there to meet us at the airport they collected our cases took us to a coach which took us to a hotel for breakfast booked our details through to the ship and by 11.30 we were actually on the ship. There were courtesy coaches waiting which took us into Dubia to the malls or site seeing which ever you wanted. We visited Oman with the smells, soukes and spices. Cochi in India was wonderful, met at the port with all the lads on the tuk tuk, it made a wonderful day visiting temples, the chinese fishing nets, the laundry, the elephant temple, shopping with our lad getting the best prices. We played badmington and cricket with the children, visited our young drivers family - what was to be a 2 hour trip that got us back at 7 pm exhausted, a hot but full of a wonderful day and the kindness of the people we met. When we went to Mumbia we had spoken to a great deal of the waiters on the ship, the lads were so kind and helpful gave us plenty of tips for going ashore places to visit and what to experience. What they did not tells us was that they had a Bollywood celebrity called Catriona and my daughters name was Catriona, what a day we had she was covered in all sorts of garlands and we were treated so well dined with a Hindu family for lunch cold drinks in every shop and taken through the sites of Mumbia.  We wanted a holiday with a difference, we wanted the sun and the sea. The ship was excellent food, drinks and entertainment was excellent, the steward of our cabin who looked after us was a gem and nothing was ever any trouble. We have cruised with all the good cruise lines but this has been our best holiday yet I just felt everyone worked to provide all the passengers with a wonderful holiday.

My wife and I had a great pleasure to be able to cruise with Royal Caribbean. Our holidays started from Gatwick flying with best known Emirates Airlines, we have no complaints about the spacious leg room with comfortable seats, the wine, meals and the service was excellent. We flew to Dubai to board our Cruise liner Brilliance Of Seas. As we arrived in Dubai early morning, we were met at the airport by Royal Caribbean staff who guided us through customs, immigration and to out coaches. We were surprised to hear that we all will be Royal Caribbean guest for the breakfast at Hayat 5 star hotel, We had breakfast and they also did all the paperwork while we were having breakfast so when we were taken to our waiting ship we went straight to our allocated cabins. Ours was with balcony and it was clean and comfortable, The cabin attendant was very helpful was all the staff in dining rooms, restaurant and in bars could not do enough to please us. The food was excellent with different varieties every day. The cruise was to India and Muscat, Oman. We throughly recomend Royal Caribbean.

I recentley returned from a repositiioning cruise out of Dubai through the Suez Canal and up to Italy. I was a little apprehensive about sailing on Brilliance as there seem to be mixed reviews and having patronised Celebrity for their service and food quality tried not to expect too much. I needn't have worried I didn't come across one disagreeable member of staff, who were upbeat,friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The food wasn't quite as good as on Celebrity Eclipse, but still very good supprisingly so in the Windjammer. We were helped by the fact that the ship was only about 40% full,but even though this is not one of the newer ships my accommodation (balcony cabin) was lovely and I found the sitting areas very comfortable. Drinks are pricey ( a normal complaint on Royal Caribbean ships) but all in all I will gladly return for another cruise on Brilliance.
