Holidaymakers looking to enjoy a break without the thought of breathing in cigarette smoke from those around them will be pleased by a new announcement from P&O Cruises
The line is the latest to limit the amount of locations on-board a vessel in which a holidaymaker can light up.
By next May it is believed that passengers will be banned from smoking on any of the line's interior locations, ranging from cabins to casinos.
Three of the company's ships adopted a no-smoking policy in 2008, with the others the Aurora
, Azura and Oriana
- following the same approach next year.
Those who do enjoy the odd cigarette will still be able to lower their cravings on cabin balconies, as well as in certain open-deck areas.
Meanwhile, P&O Cruises are not the first to make a move of this nature, with Celebrity Cruises
already taking steps to limit the amount of smoking taking place on board.
According to P&O Cruises, "dining on Aurora can be a relaxed or formal affair. While her evening entertainment offers everything from theatre to comedy".
