The latest ship in the Cunard Cruises
flotilla has been officially welcomed into the fold after being named in a ceremony yesterday.Queen Victoria
was christened by the Duchess of Cornwall in a regal ceremony in front of over 2,000 guests in Southampton.
The ship is the second largest to ever be built for Cunard Cruises
and is designed to be the height in luxury for cruise ship passengers.
"Every one of our Cunard Queens has been named by a member of the royal family and we are delighted that Queen Victoria follows in this regal tradition," commented Carol Marlow, President and Managing Director of Cunard Cruises
The Prince of Wales was also in attendance at the event as his wife became the latest member of the royal family to name a Cunard Cruises
is due to depart on her maiden voyage to the European Christmas markets today on a sell-out cruise.
