It has been predicted that cruise holidays in 2008 will be popular, resulting in a busy year for cruise companies.
According to the Telegraph, stomach viruses on cruise ships are unlikely to put people off sailing, while it notes that the problem lies with passengers not taking responsibility for their own cleanliness.
The publication concurred with an earlier UK's Passenger Shipping Association prediction that cruising in 2008 will be bigger than ever.
"I am confident of growth ... eight new ships are launching this year and I know from talking to the cruise lines that some are pretty full already and because common sense tells me that those with plenty of space left will have to be filled one way or another," columnist Jane Archer commented.
The launch of a further two ships by MSC Cruises
this year is also leading Ms Archer to predict for a packed cruising calendar in 2008.MSC Cruises
is an Italian cruise line that offers sailings to the Atlantic, Mediterranean and Caribbean.
