Summary:  Our group of four had a very enjoyable holiday during the cruise to the Norwegian Fjords on 'Independence'. We've tried hard to niggle about something but have had to give up, because everything was superb! The only sad comment was the theft by passengers of silly little things, like scrabble tiles and dominoes, from the games room on the day prior to departure from the ship. Many thanks to all those who made it possible, from IGLU staff to ship's crew. Courtesy, efficiency and helpfulness throughout. We will be back!

Summary:  Took the 6 day cruise out of Fort Lauderdale on March 10 2013. Overall it was fine. Ports were Grand Cayman, Jamaica and Haiti, which were fine. Food in Restaurant was excellent and in the Windjammer, it was OK. The evening shows were not good, but there were plenty of other things to keep you busy. They started automatically adding gratuities to your account for the wait staff and room attendant. I DID NOT LIKE THAT! Drinks were expensive with a automatic 15 percent gratuity added every time. Also, the online café has extremely out of date computers for this day and age. Trip left me feeling like I needed more.

Summary:  My daughter treated my husband and myself to join her and her little daughter on a 14 day cruise in the mediterranean on Independence of the seas. We had been on a cruise before but were totaly blown away with this ship. What a wonderful ship, and lovely friendly staff, nothing was to much trouble for them. So much to do, such wonderful food, it was a job to decide where we were going to eat next. The shows were fantastic always something differrent every night the children pool area was amazing so much for them to play on I never heard a single child say mum I'm bored, even my grandaughter who had a broken arm had to be dragged away moaning when we left the pool area to get food if she had had her way she'd have lived on the FREE ice cream and iced fruit drinks that were always there to help yourself to; on most other ships like P & O the only free drink is water and if you want ice cream you have to buy it SO KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOUR PUTTING THE OTHER COMPANYS TO SHAME!

Summary:  Great time on the Indy. She really is a magnificent ship. The crew are so helpful & wonderful. Was two hours late leaving Southampton due to JUST only 3 peeps with Noro probs. Indy staff cleaned her up well and no more probs. Our cabin 6638 was so wonderful and our butler Rai is a warm & happy chappy. Made us feel like as being at home. Would recommend this wonderful ship to anyone who wishes to cruise in luxury at a fair price. You just have to visit Johnny Rockets if you are a nutter!!!!!! Deck 5, with all the shops, bars, resturants and live activities is a must, The dog & badger pub was like home from home & Janice (the Jamaican nutter is so happy & freindly). On the other hand the Supposedly top cabaret acts are not soo good. (Better on Ocean Village). But the best band on sea for live music has to be the Indy, with ROCK THE BOAT. Plenty of space on all decks. Another down side is the alcoholic drinks are well over priced and children not under control. Lifts out whitting themselves and overcrowded. If you do not want to worry about NORO problems then the Inndy is the ship for you. The boarding is very long & painful. Departure is a breeze if you take your own luggage with you, just 20 mins to clear the ship and customs. Bye the way im 62 years old. lol !!!. Great value for money. As the Captain woud say "Next stop WE-GO ( That means Vigo lol)".

Summary:  This was the first cruise ship that I had ever been on, and none since have compared to its impressiveness and sheer attention to detail. Upon first seeing it, one would assume that it is going to be like a busy beach resort — crammed full of people fighting for every seat and deck chair available. However, it was the opposite. Whether you are in one of the many different themed bars or restaurants, the casino or the swimming pool areas, you are welcomed by a sense of tranquillity and privacy. Not once did I feel like my personal space was invaded. One of the most impressive features was the staff. Always there when you need them and never overbearing. It is not possible to write about all the positives of this ship without it becoming a lengthy script, you just need to experience it yourselves to truly grasp how extraordinary the Independence of the Seas really is.

Summary:  When I embarked on the Independence I was in awe of the sheer size of the ship and the element of luxury on there. I was excited to be onboard and eagerly anticipating the coming voyage. The food onboard is just fantastic, such a wide choice of dishes that there is something for even the fussiest of diners. From the Windjammer buffet to the main dining room, Johnny Rockets for American style burgers to the speciality restaurants Chops Grille (the steak house) and Portofino's (an Italian). The drinks are plentiful and not overly priced either. They offer different drinks packages which work out very good value for money. Cabins were very comfortable indeed with enough storage space for your clothes to the comfiest of beds I have experienced onboard a ship. Having an interior cabin was not a hindrance at all. Alter all how long do you spend in your room on holiday anyway) The staff physically could not do enough for you. Always greeting you with a smile and help you in whatever you need. Facilities on board are plentiful for everyone such as the swimming pools, library, internet cafe, theatre which holds both daytime and evening entertainment, Kids clubs for all children up to 17 years of age. I thoroughly enjoyed my time on the Independence of the Seas and I am looking forward to my next voyage.
