Cruise itinerary

Day Port Due Depart
1-2 Fly from the UK
2 Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is the sunny city set in Southern Florida. Often called the ‘Venice of America’ due to its expansive canal system and beautiful river fronts. Fort Lauderdale is well known for its beaches, arts, shopping and year round tropical climate. Chosen by many as their favourite holiday destination, it is certainly an excellent place to start or end your cruise!
3-4 At Sea
5 Puerto Limon
Puerto Limon
There are buses from Limon to places like Cahuita ($1 each-way), Moin (50 cents) and even to the capital San Jose, more than 100 miles away. These leave from the bus terminal, which is a five-minute walk further down Avenida 2 from the museum.
6 Colon
Colon
In Colon you can tour the Panama Canal and its scenic rainforests and attractions. Then board a domed railcar for an excursion to the Pacific Ocean. Fort Lorenzo would be another great excursion as it is a fantastic historical place to visit. Along the way you can admire the fabulous bird and animal life of the jungle. You won’t be disappointed!
7 Cartagena, Colombia
Cartagena, Colombia
Cartagena is a UNESCO World Heritage site. Considered by many as one of the world's most beautiful, fascinating and magical cities, Cartagena was founded by Spanish conquerors as a main port to bring Europeans and their goods into South America Today the city hosts intellectuals and plenty of beautiful restored homes among exotic, highly attractive and dynamic plazas, waterfronts and other public spaces. One of the most hospitable venues for any tourist looking for a good rest, Caribbean and Colombian magical realism and tropical ambiance or natural wonders.
8-9 Oranjestad, Aruba - Overnight onboard
Oranjestad, Aruba - Overnight onboard
Being one of the Dutch Antilles, Aruba still retains its Dutch charm. You will notice this when you see the many windmills that are to be found in the island. Aruba is characterised by fine beaches, sapphire blue waters, almost year-round sunshine and exotic cactus. In the capital Oranjestad, admire the pastel coloured houses and the palm-lined streets. Then go snorkelling and discover the incredible coral formation and tropical fish. Other highlights include gold mine ruins in the countryside, Guadirikiri Caves and the fascinating natural limestone bridge. If you like shopping, you’ll love Aruba and its fabulous shops and outdoor markets.
10 Willemstad, Curacao
Willemstad, Curacao
Curacao is one of the Dutch Antilles. This is reflected in the Dutch cuisine served in the island’s restaurants and in the Dutch-style houses of the capital Willemstad. Here shopping is superb…the ‘Floating Market’ alongside the canal is well worth checking out. You will find anything from tropical fruits and vegetables to local handicrafts. Visit the dramatic Hato Caves, a series of grottos with underground waterfalls and ancient Indian petroglyphs, or explore the spectacular Curacao Sea Aquarium, where you will see around 400 exotic species of marine life. Dive in the sapphire blue waters near the beautiful coral reef and experience feeding turtles and stingrays. Then discover Curacao’s Ostrich Farm, where you will see how the ostrich develops from an egg to the largest bird in the world. Before you leave the island, you must try the famous Curacao’s fruity liqueur.

excellent ship, superb facilities, food and bars first class. there was something to do for everyone on board. our only criticism is that we did "not get" the humour of the headline comedian, probably because we are british and he was American the ports of call were excellent. all staff on board were very professional , courteous and helpful, especially Pawan," our local football correspondent" in the Windjammer !

Cannot praise this cruise enough, the ship was perfect for us, friendly, lively never a dull moment felt completely at home from day one. Our balcony cabin was a lovely size and well kept by the state room attendant. Towels change everyday, bedding was changed regular, the fridge was a bonus, and for a woman the dressing table was great plenty of lights. We had my time dinning which was perfect for us, with two enthusiastic waiters Ramdas and Estralla that kept us informed on entertainment, food available and they were very friendly everyday of the cruise. The theatre was great something different every night, and then there was the centrum that did not disappoint either, always lively and fun.The captain Micheal kept us informed everyday at 12 noon what was happening. Plenty of sun beds which for me being 7 days at sea was great. All I can say is very well done Vision Of The Seas, you have restored my faith in cruising after a disastrous cruise with another top company. From now on it's Royal Caribbean from now on, this was our 8th cruise with them and my hubby and I find them the very best .

This was our second cruise of the year with RC and will probably be our last. We are diamond plus members of RC loyalty club and long time cruisers and it is clearly obvious that RC are out to cut costs dramatically. It was evident on our earlier cruise on the Independence of Seas but even more so on this cruise. We always have a suite and on this ship we had the Owners suite. The suite and our steward and the concierge were great but that was where it ended. The quality of the food and service in the Main restaurant was appalling, so much so, it resulted in our eating at the speciality restaurants for the remainder of the cruise. Not a bad ploy for RC revenue I suppose. Where have all the interesting food choices and entertaining waiters gone? We were confronted with uninteresting options provided by sullen, badly trained, incomprehensible waiting staff. My wife was even given a lecture by a waiter because she complained her cabernet sauvignon was cold. The standard of the whole offering on board has dropped dramatically from the poor quality of the entertainment on offer to the vastly overpriced drinks(particularly when 18% gratuity is added). Royal Caribbean are obviously on a money grabbing drive. However they are likely to lose a lot of loyal cruisers in the process.
