A lovely small to medium ship and despite its age it was in immaculate condition. The cabin was spacious and the bathroom the vest I've experienced on a cruise ship. As for the food. . . outstanding. All in all a wonderful experience and I've been on many cruises.

Lovely Ship, very clean, Staff were exceptional . Cabin was lovely& quiet, lovely large walk in shower, bed extremely comfortable. Nice balcony. Launderette was adequette for our needs. Only downfall was the Terrace Cafe was not alot of choice and many days it was repeated, we never sat down with a proper meal it was all bits & pieces. Salad bar was Ample along with Sushi but we are not a lover of Sushi & Hubby has tummy issues so he lived on salad & sometimes a slice of meat. Puddings were lovely. 2nd was the Entertainment at night we along with others found 9pm was too late we wern't impressed with the 2 shows we did go to see, same people different costumes. I think we should have booked other restaurants beforehand because evidently the food was good there. We left it too late to book anything. Lesson learned. Lovely Library area & quiet area to play cards etc. Overall we had a nice cruise.

The Riviera was a fantastic ship, We had a PH3 cabin which was exceptional, our Butler and stateroom staff were incredible. The specialty restaurants were very good, and the food was excellent. There were plenty of activities for sea days. We will definitely book again!

A reluctant four stars I would happily have given five stars no problem, the only slight blemish being the entertainment which we felt could have been better.

Great accommodation, fantastic staff and wonderful locations. Trip arrangements where average at best.

This was our first experience with Oceania, having mainly been on Celebrity, Princess and Holland America before. The ship was smaller circa 1200 passengers which was much better when it came to meal times and bars. The first thing that hits you on board is the quality of finishings and the art decor style. The food on board was very good consistently. Interestingly the specialty restaurants have their own galleys so the food is super hot and fresh and just better. The cabin was above standard for a veranda stateroom with a spacious bathroom. The basic WiFi was Starlink and we did not need to upgrade as we had with Celebrity last time. Lastly, whilst we had a drinks package, the selection of drinks was excellent. Never had so much Champagne! Finally not a single day of rain on an Alaska cruise was a bit special.

Excellent except for one thing. Watch out for the compulsory charge of about £500 per person was that successfully hidden from us. On the website it clearly states "Gratuities are always included. " We interpreted it one way, they meant it another. They do not tell you how much it will be until it's too late. It added about £1000 to our shipboard account that we could ill afford. Other than that we had a great time.

Recently cruised Tokyo - Yokohama aboard Oceania Riviera The itinerary was excellent and all excursions were extremely good with knowledgeable guides. All staff aboard Riviera were extremely efficient and friendly Penthouse Suite offered excellent accommodation with superb steward and butler service included Food was very good with Red Ginger and Jacques speciality restaurants standing out above the others. Always a good choice and variety of food in Main Dining Room and Terrace cafe. Entertainment whilst limited was to an excellent standard for a small ship experience. Would much rather accept this quality and size of ship than the much larger sized ships on the sea

We first sailed on Riviera about 4 years ago. First the positive; the stateroom had been refreshed and was much improved with the bathtub and small shower being replaced by a large shower. The shelves and draws in the bathroom were great. We had a concierge statement and therefore had access to the lounge. The snacks in the lounge were usually some very boing small cakes and cookies with the addition of sandwiches at odd times. Definitely to as good as last time. Generally, speaking the specialty restaurants were not as good as last time, especially the Polo restaurant, were most people on the cruise agreed the meat in the restaurant was not great. Red Ginger was excellent as was Jacques. Generally the food wasn’t as good as our last trip. It certainly wasn’t the best cuisine at sea.
