Tour itinerary was great with plenty of time for excursions and free time.
On board, there were plenty of activities but very weighted towards to the predominantly American guests.
Food: After seeing all the rave reviews it was disappointing due to lack of menu choice. Extra Virgin was the best and I'd still only rate it 8/10.
The predominant spice in nearly every dish AND lots of drinks was cinnamon, which I am not a fan off, so by the end of the trip, I was limited even more in choice. You get the dish as per menu. . . there is no personalised cooking at all.
Also portion size is enormous. I was frankly disgusted by the waste by the end of the cruise, particularly as their small portions are still mainly course size. Also the Galley breakfasts are awful. . . bacon and sausage are sweet and everything egg heavy. Couldn't even get a simple toasted sandwich without some abhorrent seasoning or ingredient being involved.
Intelligentsia Black Cat coffee (and that's it) is disgusting and chemically. Avoid and take a personal press and your own grinds.
I'm sure the gym, spa and pool were lovely. . . . I don't use them.
Staff: Wow. . . they are amazing AND very friendly, chatty and interested in both the Sailors and their work. . . I didn't here a single complaint grumble or raised voice the entire time. I loved the range of age experience and backgrounds. They MADE this cruise 5* . . . . Sadly I love my food and the limitations of my diet, taste and ability to gorge on steaks the size of (cinnamon flavoured) frisbees is severely limited.
If you have dietary needs, limited appetite and like simple food cooked excellently, this is NOT the cruise for you; we were slightly taken in by the hype.
Having said all that. . . . a special positive mention for the staff AND food at The Dock House. The mezze style Mediterranean/ Greek/ Turkish dishes saved us. . . Smaller portions, delicious and freshly cooked / prepped, served by lovely staff. . Iskutet, Paul, Dianaie and company. 12/10
Shows we're outstanding. . . . . ALL a must see!
Musical Entertainment was great. . . . particularly loved the bluesy tunes and covers of The Journeyman.
Of all the places we visited, our favourites were Greek. . . but we love Malta having visited a number of times before and we enjoyed a trip to Tarquinas too from Civitavecchia. The only disappointment was Cannes. Pretty, but nought special unless you like watching rich people spend money.

Very relaxed atmosphere, excellent Customer Service throughout the ship. Our cabin request was a twin, on arrival we had a double bed when we asked for it to be changed it was, no problem, but I believe we ended up with camp beds not the most comfortable of sleep …,

The ship is absolutely stunning. Our central sea terrace cabin was simply brilliant. Yes, the bathrooms are small but it was fine.
Hammocks are fabulous, comfortable space for two people. Our floor allocation was great too. Some banging from upstairs with rowdy sailors but was only once.
The food isn't as amazing as I expected but we still thoroughly enjoyed our time on the Resilient Lady. Shows are fun but the limited seating is very annoying as some people cannot stand for more than 1 hour to watch it, which is a shame.
Don't even dream of being able to book any of the exercise classes (bungee I'm looking at you), unless you're a mega rockstar, you stand no chance. Most things are booked out fast than us mere mortals won't get q look in.
Booking the restaurants was easy too. We got everything we wanted, at the time we wanted, however, had to cancel returning to a few places because the food was average at best. Staff generally nice and friendly. . . but maybe not the galley. . . some just looked miserable unfortunately.

Great itinerary picking up 7 eastern Caribbean islands including Puerto Rico departure point. Resilient Lady is a fabulous ship with space, food and entertainment to satisfy the full range of adult tastes.
The relaxed vibe and extensive speciality food options made this cruise feel luxurious and chilled at all times
Travelling from the north of, a San Juan departure port means a tedious flight route, although this was made better by 2-night hotel stay in San Juan before setting sail.
Would definitely sail with Virgin again and do a different (keen to see new places) Caribbean itinerary. Would explore Miami departure options.
