We had a wonderful holiday. The ship was truly magnificent and the Baltic ports of call very interesting.
Before re-entering into service, all ships will be certified as virus free, and throughout the cruise there will be 24/7 santising of public areas, as well as fogging of all public spaces, suites and corridors each day, and fogging and sanitisation at embarkation terminals. A hospital-grade air filtration system will mean that air onboard is fresh and clean, while a public health officer will be on each sailing to ensure that cleaning protocols are followed.
To ensure social distancing, ship capacity will be reduced, embarkation times staggered and seating in venues reduced or spacing between tables increased. Guests and crew are encouraged to frequently handwash, and a no-touch food service policy will further limit contact. So that guests can enjoy shore excursions, activity groups will be smaller and the cruise line will work with partners on land to make sure debarkation is safe. With the situation being monitored closely, itineraries are subject to change if a destination is impacted.
All guests and crew will undergo health screening before boarding and temperature monitoring throughout. When it comes to medical facilities, the medical teams onboard are being expanded, with medical centres well stocked with medication and virus testing equipment, as well as offering free treatment for anyone showing signs of respiratory illness and providing isolation accommodation if needed.
