There have removed free 24 hr room service after we bought and paid for this holiday on the terms of contract this being included. They have stopped the chocolate gala night. They have stopped afternoon tea in cafe corinth and stopped the fresh pastries. They have removed the classic cocktails from the commodore club and limited choice. They have reduced choice of menue in Brittania and what was once included now expected to pay and portion side reduced. veryvery limited choice if any for main gluten free meals and no choice of gf deserts in kings court. Only one plastic wrap sponge slice! Utter disgrace ! Get rid of it Ludlow he's killing the brand ! O and planatwriumbroken not to be fixed. And no white gloves on afternoon tea and only 2 dance hosts . . a sad joke !

QM2 not up to usual standard. Have cruised several times before as your records will show (Diamond). Some important stores NOT loaded eg toothpaste, the usual basics like Strepsils and non prescription medicines etc. Food also suffered with small choice and repeat menus disguised as 'different'. Verandah Restaurant - poor. Speciality Coriander - not even a nod to Indian food and the Madras curry was NOT Madras. Water to cabin cut off from evening to sometime next morning. No shower no toilet flush (YUK). Comments dismissed as we were informed by public announcement at. . . . . 2. 00AM! And who heard that? Still charged for bottled water to cabin. Initially Pursers Office refused to register 'no water' as a complaint against my account. It had no effect. Restaurant staff to my table of 8 excellent as was cabin steward. Entertainment restricted to tired acts and 'Showtime' and generally under par or boring. No trios playing on Formal Nights, the backing band excellent. Decor generally OK but evidence of wear and tear visible eg sofa in my cabin sagging; Not a success. Have written similarly to Cunard. Can I expect any redress? You tell me.

Overall we enjoyed our crossing. But there were several failings. The ship is now looking more shabby than chic & showing her age. The food served in the Britannia was mostly inedible containing too much salt and overcooked to the point tasted as if it had been prepared hours before then microwaved We reverted to using the Kings grill, where the was more variety and better quality. Evening entertainment was short & the advertised Planetarium not available As things are, I could not recommend this ship

From boarding the Queen Mary 2 to leaving 14 days later we were made to feel welcome. Special and well looked after. Feom the service in bars and restaurants to our cabin steward to the captain, everyone is happy has time to speak with you.
