Can I travel if I have pre-existing health conditions?
When Cunard return to sailing unfortunately they will be unable to accept guests who have the following medical requirements:
Supplementary oxygen (including via oxygen concentrator)
Mechanical ventilatory support (except for overnight CPAP for sleep apnoea)
Within the 14 days prior to the cruise have been unwell with confirmed or suspected Covid-19, have been in close contact with someone with confirmed or suspected Covid-19 or have been advised to self-isolate under a government test and trace system.
Will I be able to board if I've been in contact with a Covid-19 case?
If you have been in contact with someone who has Covid-19 symptoms or has been self-isolating in the days prior to your voyage you will not be permitted to board the ship. A 'contact' is a person who has been close to someone who tested positive to Covid-19 any time from 2 days before the person was symptomatic up to 10 days from the onset of symptoms.
Can I book back to back voyages?
You will not be able to book back to back voyages onboard Queen Elizabeth.
Will I be able to get off the ship when calling at UK ports?
You will be able to get off the ship on one of Cunard's organised shore experiences which can be booked prior to departure.
Will Covid-19 test be required?
A Covid-19 test will be required at the cruise terminal and will be complimentary in the price of the holiday.
Can I travel as a group?
Group numbers will be in line with government guidance at the time of booking. Current guidance allows households/linked travelling groups to dine together, up to the maximum number allowed by the government at the time of travel.
What will the onboard experience be like?
Activities/areas of the ship where social distancing would be difficult may not be open when sailing begins. When it comes to dining, buffets will no longer be self-service and you may have to pre-book a table in restaurants. The pools will be open with reduced capacity. Live performances will be adapted so that performers can social distance. It is also expected that events will be staggered and have reduced capacity.
On voyages which stop at UK ports of call guests will only be able to go ashore on shore excursions that have been organised and approved by the cruise line. Guests will not be able to go ashore independently at this stage.
