Great holiday on the Ventura. We had cabin R259. Great location, very quiet. The entertainment was mediocre, with not much choice Food was good, but the portions in the sitting down table service restaurants were so small! The staff were very miserable, which was noted by quite a few of our fellow passengers. Overall the ship is nice, rooms are decorated to a good standard, and the bed was very comfortable. We would definately return

Great week on board Ventura, we went as a family with our daughter, son-in-law and 2 year old granddaughter. I was not sure how cruising with a toddler would work! I need not have worried the steward and waiters in MDR were brilliant and the chef in Bat Tree even made my granddaughter her own bread sticks as she has food intolerances. We will be cruising again.

The cruise was good but not great. Food on board very good and so was the entertainment. Of the 4 days in the fjords we only enjoyed one of decent weather. We cruised through 2 fjords in the early hours of the morning and I was not prepared for that so probably missed two highlights. We were on holiday not a survival exercise. Had an excursion planned for Bergen at 7.30am which is an early start. That morning at 2.30am an announcement was broadcast throughout the ship including the cabins summoning the medical team to an emergency. I cannot understand the sense in that although I have been told it is normal practice. My wife did not sleep for the rest of the night and it tarnished our day.

Good cruise, friendly staff. Not too sure I am happy with their outdated policies around dress code. If you are not prepared to dress up in evening wear on two evenings then you are not able to use two restaurants and two bars. Making us 2nd class even though we paid the same. Prefer other cruise lines where dress is truly optional.

P & O are a step below Princess, Royal Caribbean and Celebrity but are still a good cruise line. Embarkation and disembarkation were a breeze at Southampton. Food good but very slow service in Freedom Dining (maybe as staff were getting to grips with new tablets to place orders on) and left on a few nights early in order to see show in Theatre. Shows all good especially the Fly Rights. Food in buffet at lunchtime - could be a better selection of salad items and needs staff to keep on top of items running down.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of my cruise and would highly recommend a P&O cruise to anyone considering it. Can't wait for the next one!

We took a P&O cruise for my 60th birthday two weeks before. The booking process with Iglu was smooth and easy.we decided to take the Intercruise coach from North Wales to Southampton, and have less on board spend. Brilliant idea, so slick, coach was amazingly comfortable and we were in Port on time after a restful journey. Ventura is one of their large ships, i had worked on board the first Oriana in the late 70's in the hair Steiner salon so i would have liked to go on the current Oriana, but no cruises going when we wanted to go.We found the embarkation swift, slick and so easy. We were in our cabin quickly and enjoying the balcony.we were a little disappointed that the champagne we had ordered for our sail away was not in our cabin fridge, so not chilled for our little celebration. The food on board is fabulous. Enough restaurants to chose from along with your restaurant for freedom or select dining.we had chosen freedom dining, and ate at cinnamon on two evenings. We ate at all the other restaurants on other evenings. sindu was a gorgeous experience, as was the Epicurean, Glass House and Beach House (?) Our cabin steward was just fantastic! They work so hard!!! I enjoyed my manicure at the spa, i had to go there having been a Steiner employee. We had a great time, despite the few technical issues the poor captain & crew had to sort on this voyage. I would change those awful canvases in the cabins though! Not fitting in with the stylish nature P&O like to portray. And the decor is quite tired in the staterooms. Despite this, we really enjoyed this cruise. For information, we did not sign for a wine package (who drinks £40 of drinks a day?) We paid as we went which suited us fine. The beds are wonderfully comfortable ?? Next time, it will be a smaller ship for us. Having said this, Ventura was great!

Had a great time. Rather too much queuing, but it didn’t really ruin anything. Certainly go again

Ship was lovely although layout was confusing as you have to go up and across then down again to get to certain areas. Felt that although nightly entertainment team were very good, p & o just went for repetitive cheap shows cause it was only a 4 night cruise, would rather have had them do west end musicals or similar.
