Both boarding and disembarking were really well organised. Unfortunately, our main shore excursion was cancelled at short notice, and left many passengers disappointed. The Meridian Restaurant lived up to expectation, with super helpful and attentive staff. The Horizon buffet was, as usual, really good. Despite the refit, parts of the cabins, especially the shower room were quite dilapidated. Having sailed on Britannia three times, this was unfortunately the least impressive.

Baltic cruise was amazing itinery really good except we booked cruise to go through Kiel canal and we missed it as we went through it at night! Britannia still a lovely ship. Only niggle was trying to get a table in the restaurant got turned away twice at breakfast and even though we were freedom dining 45 minute wait is not really acceptable, was much better before they had the app queue , ended up eating in buffet which was very busy, difficult to find seating and really cold needed jumpers on most night, not a great experience. Food was OK. The new equipment in gym was really good. Overall we had a good holiday and would book again with P&O.

Bigger ship than we've been on before and we do prefer smaller ones. Cabin good - clean and well maintained. Cabin steward very good. Other staff very helpful and friendly, apart from one receptionist at Meridien restaurant and P&O sales teams, who didn't seem terribly interested in selling me a cruise and certainly not in giving any advice. We had a cabin midships and the stairs were either forward or aft, so you either walked half the length of the ship to get to them or relied on lifts, which seemed to have a mind of their own - frustrating when you only want to go up one floor and end up going down 7 before going up again! Food is good - good variety and choice. However, My Holiday platform for booking meals in certain restaurants really needs looking at. It does not stay on, so if you do manage to join the queue for the restaurant, you have to keep on refreshing and often need to log back in. Also for the restaurants where you need to join a queue, it states 'queue full' rather than queue not available - it's confusing. The Horizon buffet is good and all allergens are listed. It would be good if they listed basic ingredients as well. I tried quite a few things I had no idea about. You can't always ask and besides on e. g. Indian evenings, there are a lot of unknown dishes. Lots of nice lounges, to suit all tastes. A quiet area would be lovely. Drinks very reasonably priced, so drinks packages not worth it unless you drink lots. No hard sell on these anyway. Be aware that if you take advantage of duty free alcohol, it's not wrapped when you pick it up and no bag offered. It's often easier to criticise than to praise and we did enjoy our cruise and have booked another P&O cruise next year, but we tend to book for destinations rather than cruise lines.

Lovely traditional medium sized ship with good diverse entertainment venues. Lack of variety in the Buffet area was disappointing and lay out difficult to negotiate. Staff were efficient but not all as friendly as other cruiselines we’ve experienced. Four gala nights on a two week cruise we felt excessive but nice to see people embracing the dress code.

Embarkation process not good. Queueing in the rain for 25 minutes to get back on the ship in Haugesund. Long waits for freedom dining. Ports of call excellent. First cruise on P & O. Sailed on Celebrity to Norwegian Fjords previously and no comparison. Food was good. Britannia is a lovely ship. 600 children onboard which surprised us for this itinerary. Using the Pound to pay for everything is a big positive if you are from the UK. Disembarking process was very good.

Embarkation process was quick and easy and from the moment we entered the ship we were made to feel welcome and at esse. The crew were amazing from top to bottom, great service. Fantastic choice of food and each meal was something different, top quality. We've seen some stunning places, met amazing people and couldn't fault the effort from each and every crew member. Highly recommend cruising on Brittania. The only downside was the entertainment, but maybe this is just because the shows weren't to our taste.
