Azura Reviews
View Cruise DealsAzura Cruise - 7 days, including 4 days at 4 different Greek Islands. It was my first cruise, travelled with my mum, I enjoyed it very much. The cabin was lovely, the food was good, I was able to relax and enjoy the sun during the day and visit a couple of Greek Islands too. Booked through Iglu Cruises - excellent service, excellent package, very happy with the price.
We had a fabulous time. Great food and great service. We are looking already for next year. Would happily sail with P&O again but it all depends on timing and itinerary.
Can't fault P&O for quality and service. A most enjoyable cruise.
2nd time on P&o Azura. Very friendly ship. The Captain kept us informed all the time. The staff work so hard, and still managed to smile and go over and above with their customer care. The ship was spotless, loved the Oriental Restaurant. One member of Vocal Extr3me even came and sang to me in the Theatre! The shows were very good and we wouldn't hesitate to book another cruise with P,&O. Thank you.
Exceeded my expectations of my 1st P&O cruise.
The cruise was most enjoyable. There were a few small issues, but overall it was great.
This was a fabulous cruise from start to finish: so well organised by P&O. It was the first fly-cruise we've done and everything worked well. Azura is a happy, friendly ship with lots going on, and the Atrium is well used which adds to the vibe. I was delighted to find dance lessons and dancing in the evenings there, with the Latin and ballroom teachers to help. Although the itinerary was changed twice, there were some great ports of call. We particularly liked Souda Bay/Chania, Split and Malta. We had two weeks which was great to relax, and a lot of port calls which can be hectic, but there is always the chance to chill on the balcony as we sail away or on sea days. You just can't beat being at sea. I went on Azura in her maiden year and it was good to be back on board. Everyone we spoke to seemed to have had a great time. The captain was a laugh too, and it was good to see him and his officers out and about on the ship.
Generally the cruise was enjoyable overall and the catering on board was good and varied. We chose the freedom dining option which worked very efficiently with a choice of restaurants and eating at a time to suit ourselves. Booked a balcony cabin with queen size double bed but was told on arrival we had been upgraded (which was not the case) as it was exactly the same as booked, but had single beds instead of a double which didn't please us. We had visited all the cruise destinations in Greece and Croatia previously but had not been to Malta so the cruise sailing out of Valletta was our reason for choosing this holiday. We stayed an additional 3 days at the Pallazio Violetta Hotel in Slima (pre and post cruise) which was a very nice hotel, however, it was a good 10 minute walk down hill to the local beach area and restaurants and 15 back uphill which could challenge people with mobility issues. Local buses from Sliema into Valletta were cheap and regular if sometimes busy.
I had a great time aboard the Azura with P & O cruise. Everyone on board was amazing from top management right down to the members of staff that you never saw (kitchen staff and housekeeping, laundry). The only things that would be a negative were out if about 8 restaurants(excluding the buffet) there were only two that we could use without incurring a charge. Hence a full ship with maybe 3,000 passengers on board it was always difficult to get a table to eat. That said the staff organising the table allocation were exceptionally good at their job. The other thing would be I thought that the cabins although clean and comfortable maybe needed a little updating. They were a little old fashioned. I would definitely book again with P & O. Also low rating for excursions as I didn’t go on any. I made my own way round.
Well organised holiday from check in at airport to a speedy pick up from Malta airport to cruise ship. Great destinations and service through out.
