Revived by Paul Strachan in 1995 from the original 1865-1942 Irrawaddy Flotilla Company, the cruise operator was renamed to Pandaw in 1998 and has since pioneered river cruising in Southeast Asia with their fleet of intimate vessels.

Pandaw was the first operator of river cruises on the Irrawaddy since colonial Burma and now offers cruises on the Mekong, Rajang, and Ganges rivers as well as the recent additions of the Red River and the Upper Mekong.

Known for having the highest passenger-to-space ratio on any operating cruise ship, you'll find no more than 56 passengers on their largest ship while many of their ships only hold 36 or 48 passengers. Each ship is designed minimally, opting to focus their attention on maximising comfort while keeping the traditional 'Pandaw spirit'.

There's no better way to explore Southeast Asia than in complete comfort and tranquillity, with all your needs cared for by an attentive crew. Your all-inclusive Pandaw cruise ensures that you'll have nothing to worry about, including most drinks available at no extra charge, and local transportation arranged for expertly guided excursions ashore.

At Pandaw, its important that their guests experience the journey the way they want, in the best way possible. With a family-friendly approach, there's a host of things to do for all ages for both the active and the more relaxed guests. You can dine on your own, or with friends and family either in the dining room or on deck, and choose from the many quiet places to relax, read a book or chat with other guests.

Whatever you choose to do, Pandaw strives to cater for everyone and to provide an enriching experience. While activities onboard are typically accustomed to reading, writing and arts such as painting and photography, there are also social events including welcome dinners, cocktail parties, gala dinners and themed dinners hosted to encourage interaction and conversation.

Experience the cultural expertise that Pandaw prides itself on with occasional onboard performances as well as activities such as cooking demonstrations, fruit carving, napkin tying and more. Certain nights also offer themed movies that give insight on the local regions.

"I booked my first ever cruise on Tuesday 5th September 2017. After lengthy searching and much deliberation we booked through Iglu. So far, I am incredibly happy I booked with Iglu. This being our first cruise Debi proved very helpful. I was [also] very impressed with the level of assistance offered by Connie. She answered my questions and put my mind at rest. I am very impressed with all aspects of dealing with Iglu and I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for all your support. "
