2 Bruges (Zeebrugge)
Bruges (Zeebrugge)
Brugge (in Flemish -- it's Bruges in French) is one of the most visited cities in Europe and is the number one destination for passengers on cruise ships calling at Zeebrugge. Visitors flock here, not for a specific museum or historical location, but to wander amidst the city's stunning examples of Flemish and Renaissance architecture and immerse themselves in the vitality of the two main squares -- Markt and Berg. There is always so much going on in Brugges -- from flower and produce markets to rides for children, bustling cafes and restaurants and old-fashioned people watching.

St. Peter Port, Guernsey
St Peter Port is the capital of Guernsey, as well as the main port of the island. It features some interesting architecture and historical places of interest.

Great ship if you don't want mega size. As with all p&o cruises standards are not as high as they used to be where food and entertainment are concerned, probably due to keeping prices down - if you can call their prices down! I feel strongly about the price they charge for single travellers, after all it's not my fault that they don't have single cabins.

Terrible all round. Food lukewarm in Peninsular for buffet lunch on embarkation. Cabin cold, reported both days and nothing done. No hot water on 2nd evening to have a shower, reported but was told nothing could be done then but would be reported to housekeeping. Was on 2nd seating for dinner. Arrived at Oriental at 20:30 to be told that they wouldn't be letting us in until 20:45. Was 21:00 before table was seated. Finished meal at 22:40 so had missed both shows and any other entertainment. Breakfast on 1st morning was terrible. Mine arrived looking like it had been plonked on the plate and then slid to one side, again lukewarm. Toast was like a brick, impossible to eat. Went on trip to Bruges, arrived back at 4pm and decided to go for afternoon tea as, if the day before was anything to go by would be eating dinner very late. Was seated at a table for 8, cups of tea were served followed by a toasted teacake. Then scones were brought to the table. After approx 20 minutes we asked for the 3rd time for sandwiches and eventually a tray with 8 sandwiches was brought to the table. Some people were given 2, I got 1 sandwich and my husband wasn't offered any sandwiches. The sandwiches that we all received were stale. We therefore decided to go to the Conservatory rather that the Oriental for our evening meal, as we did not want to wait until 9pm to eat, as we had been told that the timing for the 2nd seating had again been changed to 20:45. When we were packing our cases I checked all the drawers to make sure that I had not left anything. We found dirty clothes in the drawers which possibly belong to previous passengers as they were definitely not ours. All in all a terrible 1st cruise for us with P&O, we are seasoned cruisers with other cruise lines and have never had such an awful experience.

We went on Oriana in December 2015 to Casablanca and Spain. This is a lovely ship with very good crew a number of whom we knew from previous cruises on different ships. When a waitress comes up to you and gives you a hug because she remembers you from a cruise a year previous then you know they care! We enjoyed the good food and entertainment in the excellent venues and met some nice people. The cruise was fabulous value for money and we have booked to go on Orianas Caribbean adventure in Jan 2017.
