1 Valletta
Valletta
As you sail into Malta, you are treated to a breathtaking landscape of soaring steeples and church domes.
2 Messina Strait - Cruising
3 Naples
Naples
Cruising into the Bay of Naples is a memorable experience. The Naples port is overlooked by the imposing Sant Elmo medieval castle, high up on Vemero Hill, as well as the 13th century Castel Nuovo, which is right next to the Naples cruise terminal in the heart of the city. Within a short walk, to the left of the terminal, are three of Naples best-known landmarks: Castel Nuovo, the 17th century Royal Palace (Palazzo Reale), and the elaborate 18th century San Carlo Opera House. To reach Naples’ fascinating old town, go straight past Castel Nuovo and then over the Piazza Municipio.
4 Rome (Civitavecchia)
Rome (Civitavecchia)
'The Eternal City' from unforgettable historical sights to exclusive designer shops, Rome really does have it all. Ensure you throw a coin into the Trevi fountain to make certain you'll return.
5 Ajaccio, Corsica
Ajaccio, Corsica
Ajaccio blends the warmth and spontaneity of Italy with Etiquette and panache of France. Don't miss Maison Bonaparte, the birthplace of Napoleon.
6 Olbia, Sardinia
Olbia, Sardinia
Olbia is the main port of Sardinia, with a pretty coastline, with wonderful bars and restaurants in the centre. Seek out Ristorante Gallura - certainly one of the best restaurants in Italy; it may also rank among the great restaurants of the world. Rita Denza, the chef, has been there since 1945, and she has an absolute mastery of the kitchen.

Chose a Pesian Gulf cruise with P&O, because itinerary was very good:11 nights, 6 ports, overnight stays in some ports, and the price - as bookef earlier-was very reasonable The ship is big enough and tidy, and all facilities worked, so no complains about it, exellent experience. But, comparing to our previous cruises with Thomson, the food choices in the buffet was poorer; the crew did their jobs fine, but wasn't any entertainment gigs by crew (like bartender competition or some fun stuff) ; P&O policy doesn't allow to invite guests at all and no bridge excursion.

Great cruise from Dubai for 10 nights.Only negative was the ship buffet.Very bland and little choice, simply the worst ships buffet we have ever come across.Very disappointing P&O.

Largely a good cruise especially the food and entertainment. Arrangements for transfers and excursions well organised. An area of criticism was that for occupants of cabins on deck 8 stern end Sound levels of music from the Starlights lounge below were annoying - this being due to the over use of the base elements of the speaker system - a common problem with younger operators wanting to "blast out" the sound.
