Bring a smaller older ship the stateroom was quite small . with limited storage space, however we soon got used to it and the very comfy bed soon made up for it and we both slept really well.
We always used the Crossings for breakfast. the choice was limited but the food was nice and the staff we all lovely and friendly and we both enjoyed eating our breakfast there.
We usually eat at the palace for our evening meal. The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere nice food and again lovely staff.
We used Cagneys three evenings The steak was really nice and nice and tasty and was always cooked to our liking.
The restaurant had a nice atmosphere and again really nice staff.
If we did eat lunch we chose to eat at the the great outdoors. , as we found the self serve restaurant far to crowded and noisy for us.
Great waiter service at the pool side bar. Lots of sun lounges.
The officers that we spoke to genuinely seemed to care about customers .
Greg our cabin boy was Great. cabin was always clean and tidy
We only did one trip. Gran Canaria the Agate Valley & wine tasting this was excellent and really enjoyed it.

28 May 2025
The ship was lovely, the size was just right. Even with 3000 passengers on board, it did not feel crowded or too noisy. The buffet with its large outside eating area, was excellent, as were all the staff and crew we met. The evening entertainment was limited but we did enjoy the magician/comedian Steve Ashcroft. The cabins and balconies were rather small for two people. The 150 minute wifi was inadequate even for basic messaging and it was a nuisance trying to discover how many minutes one had left after each session. I eventually discovered that each session was rounded up, so minutes were lost inadvertently. The relationship between the app and the wifi was indecipherable. The TV information on the ship's course was interesting but a direct feed from the chart plotters on the bridge would have been more informative. We disagree strongly with the practice of taking $20 pp per day for tips, from guests, in addition to the considerable cost of the trip. We feel that staff should be paid adequately by their employer. Anything we give should be entirely voluntary, discreet and in excess of a fair, decent, living wage for these hard working people who are a long way from their homes and families.
