Norwegian Jade Reviews
View Cruise DealsWe got a gret deal from Iglu Cruise for a cruise on Norwegian Jade from Venice to Greece and Turkey. Norwegian Jade is a large modern cruise liner and is smart and well serviced. We chose NCL because of their Freestyle Cruising. I didn't want to wear a dinner jacket in the heat of the Greek Islands. Passengers can dine wherever and whenever they wish. We even chose to share a table one night, although didn't have to. There are about 12 different restraunts, of which 4 are included and the others require a suppliment of up to 25 dollars. We only ever ate in the included restraunts because the quality of the food was so good. We normally ate at the Grand Pacific Restraunt which was a la carte and included steaks and lobster on the menu. I couldn't imagine the suppliment restraunts being very much better. The cruise entertainment was OK but not great.
We were on the NCL Jade back in June. Having been on the Jewel and the Gem previously, we knew the layout of the ship well and felt at home right away. It is a mid size ship so of course can not compare to say RCCL's Voyager class or Freedom class ships which we have been on previously in terms of facilities. However, I guess we have a soft spot for NCL as our first ever cruise was on the NCL Jewel and we have very found memories of that cruise. Anyway, we found the food to be good in general. We didn't eat at any speciality restaurants this time as we had tried them all on previous cruises, but were surprised that some of the free restaurants now charged a fee. We had an ocean view room and found it to be a good size. Kept tidy and clean by our attendant everyday. The entertainment in the theatre was ok, but we always enjoy the farewell shows where we can sing along to the NCL farewell song! We enjoyed the itinerary and will definitely cruise with NCL again!
Just returned from a cruise on the Jade. One of the best holidays ever. Ship is beautiful and service is excellent. We were treated like royalty by the fantastic staff. Will be cruising again hopefully.
It was the best thing i ever done, I was looked after like a lord and everything was magic. I will go again thanks.
had a nice time onboard the jade, great weather. the only thing i would say is that the ship could do with a new atrium. or decorating. its very dated/ i know it was in the states before coming to england but it needs updaing. and there wasnt rely a lot to do on the ship could do with fresh entertainment programme.
We sailed on Jade to the Med in July and found the ship very enjoyable, though if I had one recommendation for future cruisers it would be to make sure you pre book any of the speciality restaurants (such as the Tappenyaki). There are lots to choose from, but the smaller ones have long waiting times between 7.30 to 8.30ish.
My 15 year old daughter and I have just returned from a mini cruise to Paris on Norwegian Jade and the ship was wonderful. We enjoyed every minute of it. The crew, the facilities and the food - everything was just so good. More than we had hoped for… The only negative thing I can think of to say is that it wasn't long enough!
