UK guests must provide proof of a negative covid-19 test (PCR or antigen) carried out by a third party within 72 hours of departure. They must also undergo an antigen test at the cruise terminal.
Further detail around requirements specific to your cruise will be provided to you prior to departure.
Onboard capacity during initial sailings will be reduced to provide more space for social distancing.
Onboard Health and Safety
Norwegian Cruise Line's stringent cleaning protocols will be further enhanced. This will include thorough cleaning and disinfecting before every voyage, while embarkation terminals will be frequently santisied, and fogged where possible. Onboard there will be continuous cleaning and disinfecting, with a focus on high touch points across the ship.
Guests will be able to go ashore independently at certain ports of call. However, this depends on local health authorities which is why NCL recommend book a company organised shore excursion.
Will I need to wear a face mask?
Face coverings are currently required for guests when indoors, except in your own accommodation and when eating and drinking. They must also be worn outdoors where social distancing is not possible. Face masks may be required in destinations to comply with local guidance.
Will there be buffets onboard?
Buffets will still be available but will be full service with staff serving guests.
What entertainment and onboard activities will there be?
Nearly all onboard activities and entertainment will be available, including spas and casinos, although there may be modifications to ensure that guidance is followed.
Guests will be free to explore certain ports of call on their own. Please keep in mind that this is largely dependent on the local health authorities and the evolving regulations, which are subject to change.
Under the terms of Ncl booking conditions, guests are required to have
purchased a Travel Insurance policy for their trip. It must cover cancellation
and medical emergency expenses as a minimum and must be purchased
within 14 days of full payment being taken for your cruise.
Guided by expert advice, NCL initially require vaccinations for ALL guests sailing with embarkation dates through to and including 31st December 2021.
