Wi-fi

Wi-fi is not included as standard but if you upgrade to the Free at Sea fare the first two guests can enjoy up to 300 minutes (depending on the length of the cruise) of wi-fi access.

Specialty Dining

Speciality dining isn't included as standard but if you upgrade to the Free at Sea package the first two guests can get up to 3 meals (depending on the length of the cruise) in any of the speciality dining restaurants.

Tips

Guests will be charged between $20-25 per person per day for gratuities/service charges. These can be paid for before or after the cruise.

Excursions

If you would like to do any excursions/tours while docked these will be an additional charge. Excursions/tours can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package. Alternatively these can be bought while on the ship but may be more expensive than pre-booking.

Parking

Car parking at the port or airport for the duration of your trip is not included within the price of the cruise. Port/airport parking can’t currently be booked with us online but please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add this to your package. An approximate cost for parking is between £12 - £20 per car per day. Alternatively we can arrange transfers from your home to the departure airport/port.

Transfers (home to port)

Transfers from your home to the port or airport aren't included but we can help organise coach transfers, taxis etc to make your life easier. Please contact us after you have made the booking if you would like to add these to your package.

Visa

Visas are not provided by us or the cruise operator. Visas and other travel documents have to be obtained by the individual passengers prior to sailing.

Lovely time on Norwegian getaway, first time we have been with Norwegian cruise line. Did certain things different to the cruise line we normally sail with, somethings good some not so much.

Overall an interesting holiday visiting visiting some places that we have not been to before. Weather was difficult with high winds for much of the cruise. Transfers: Final day was a nightmare! 4500 passengers disembarking to be collected from two lines of taxis and 8:30am. Bags cannot be checked in a New Orleans Airport until 4 hours before flight so we had to amuse ourselves for 9 hours at the airport. A baggage service would have been helpful here. Room: Balcony room was clean and tidy but still rather cramped; small space between bed and wardrobe not ideal even with only 2 of us. Food: probably the best part of the cruise. French restaurant was especially good and Shenhans Irish bar was a friendly slightly quieter place during the day.

This was my first cruise as a solo traveller and it has made want to do more and I would choose Norwegian. It was clean, friendly and well organised. The food was tasty but only luke warm. Entertainment that was provided was good but could be slightly loud in the main interim.

Norwegian cruise line Getaway is definitely one of the best ships! Fantastic on board facilities, activities and amenities. The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. What made this experience even more memorable is that there was a Solo group that met every evening and the entertainment officer was so helpful and truly made it great! The solo cabins are super nice and having our own private lounge was nice!
