An around the
world cruise has been named as the "ultimate" dream holiday.
According to research from AIG Travel Guard,
world cruises were favoured by 45 per cent of consumers as the ideal holiday, USA Today reports.
The publication noted that "dream" holidays would be onboard cruise ships operated by such cruise lines as
Cunard Cruises and
Holland America Line.
In other cruise news,
Holland America Line recently announced its intention to take authentic Alaska Native Travel Guides on its Glacier Bay-bound ships.
"We are very pleased at how this program has evolved," Richard D Meadows, Executive Vice-President of Marketing, commented.
The programme is being made available through a partnership with the Alaska Native Heritage Centre.
