Windstar Cruises has announced that three of its cruise ships are to undergo renovation work in its multimillion dollar Degrees of Difference campaign.
Wind Surf, Wind Spirit and Wind Star will all be renovated in November/December 2006, spring 2007 and autumn 2007 respectively.
On the Wind Surf, a new gathering point ? the Yacht Club ? will be incorporated into the main deck, with an espresso bar, books, CDs and DVDs, a large flat panel TV screen and eight computers for internet access at sea.
Elsewhere onboard, all stateroom and suite bathrooms will be completely renovated, while two brand new 475 square feet suites will be built on the bridge deck.
"This significant investment in the Windstar fleet shows the strength of our brand," said Diane Moore, Windstar's Vice President of Marketing and Sales.
"The Windstar ships are unique, and we are investing heavily in both technical and aesthetic aspects of the ships to enhance their appeal in the marketplace."
A host of other exciting touches are being added to the Wind Surf, with Windstar saying details of improvements to the other ships will be released closer to their refurbishment dates.
