Fans of ITV series The Cruise will be delighted to find out that the behind the scenes cruise show is returning for a second series.
The second series will take place onboard Royal Princess, sister ship to
Regal Princess - star of The Cruise series one. Filming will begin this summer with the show scheduled to air early 2017.
The six-part documentary will follow the
Princess Cruises crew of
Royal Princess as they sail the Mediterranean with up to 3,560 guests on board.
Following on from the theme of series one, viewers will be able to catch up with some main Princess Cruises characters whilst also meeting some new faces. Day to day operations of running a 141,000 tonne, 19 deck cruise ship show an incredible amount of team work and diversity of daily life at sea.
The Cruise series one attracted an average audience size of 3.5m per episode and hailed as a great success by Princess Cruises Vice President UK and Europe Tony Roberts -
"The first series of The Cruise was a great success for Princess and the cruise industry as a whole, so we are thrilled ITV has asked to come onboard again. We're eagerly anticipating following Royal Princess as she sails around the Mediterranean and watching the onboard stories unfold to an audience of millions."
