Holidaymakers looking for something a little different from their next holiday may wish to take one of the many specially themed cruises which are currently available.
According to review site Cruise Critic, there are many weird and wonderful options available, with everything from cruises for chocolate lovers to Shakespeare-themed voyages.
"Cruise lines are doing their utmost to make sure that no demographic group is left out by featuring family, single, senior, gay and lesbian, disabled, romantic, budget-conscious and luxury cruises," the site noted.
Some of the top quirky cruises include a Bikers Onboard voyage offered by
Royal Caribbean Cruises and a Pink Floyd-themed cruise operated by Carnival.
Passengers can also enjoy a week in the life of James Bond by booking a trip onboard the Seabourn Odyssey for the Spies at Sea cruise.
Speaking recently, the Passenger Shipping Association said holidays at sea offer much better value for money than land-based breaks.
