Princess Cruises has announced that
Star Princess and
Caribbean Princess are to be modernised and fitted with top of the range amenities.
The cruise line is to upgrade suites and restaurants onboard the popular cruise liners between September 2008 and January 2009.
The Deck 5 atrium onboard
Star Princess will be transformed into a piazza-style street cafe like the one featured onboard
Emerald Princess and
Crown Princess.
The popular adults-only Sanctuary will also be a welcome addition onboard both cruise ships, as will the Crown Grill steak and seafood restaurant.
"After Crown Princess and Emerald Princess debuted, we knew we had struck a chord with our passengers who loved the piazza-style atriums, new dining experiences and the peaceful environment of The Sanctuary," Jan Swartz, Senior Vice-President of
Princess Cruises, commented.
Specialty coffees and freshly baked goods including paninis and tapas will be available at the International Café along with a variety of wines, artisan meats and cheeses at the Vines wine bar.
