An eight-day cruise around Europe has been scheduled for July 2008, by
Carnival Cruises.
Describing the one-time sailing as "special",
Carnival Cruises notes that it will take place aboard its new ship -
Carnival Splendor.
Onboard the Carnival Splendor, cruise passengers will be able to travel between the Italian port of Genoa to London from July 2nd until July 10th, taking in the magnificent ports of Cannes, Barcelona, Lisbon and Le Havre, Paris on the way.
"Carnival Splendor's special eight-day voyage is just the latest addition to a highly diverse European inaugural season. It's the best way to see the great cities of Europe at a great value," commented Vicki Freed, Senior Vice President of Sales and Guest Services at Carnival.
In September 2008, the cruise ship is also embarking on a
Mediterranean cruise between London and Rome.
British Airways recently revealed that it is to introduce a daily flight service between Genoa and London's Gatwick Airport from April 4th 2008.
According to the airline this is due to the increased popularity of cruise holidays and the increasing number of cruise ships docking in Genoa's port.
