Costa Mediterranea is set to take voyagers to South America next year,
Costa Cruises has announced.
The line's prized vessel is to travel to the heat-baked shores of South America for the 2008-09 winter cruise season, taking in a number of hotspots on the way to Argentina.
Additionally, guests taking advantage of the itineraries can enjoy a new spa programme that promises to relax and rejuvenate.
Cruisers booking one of 44 exclusive accommodations are to be offered a personal wellness consultation, three complimentary treatments, two fitness or meditation classes and free access to the Wellness Restaurant, where they can enjoy a range of healthy options.
Voyagers can select from accommodations with an ocean view, a veranda or a suite, featuring aromatherapy diffusers, special shower and air filters and a healthy mini-bar.
In operation since 2003,
Costa Mediterranea has a double occupancy capacity of 2,114, while its decor is inspired by 17th and 18th century Italy.
Costa Cruises recently announced it will be celebrating 60 years in the business by entering cruisers into a competition to win a diamond necklace during the 2007-08 cruise season.
