Princess Cruises has announced that new ship
Ruby Princess will take to the seas ahead of schedule this winter.
Originally,
Ruby Princess was due to set sail on her inaugural cruise on November 15th 2008, however a voyage departing on November 8th will now precede this sailing.
Passengers who had booked onto the November 15th cruise as a maiden voyage will have the opportunity to bring their cruise holiday forward to the earlier cruise or can remain booked onto the second sailing.
"Of course we're delighted that the construction schedule for Ruby Princess has been advanced by a week," commented Jan Swartz, senior vice-president of customer service and sales at
Princess Cruises.
She added that even more passengers would now be able to enjoy a cruise holiday on
Ruby Princess.
In addition to almost 900 staterooms, Ruby Princess boasts a piazza-style atrium complete with a selection of eateries and performing street entertainers.
