Royal Caribbean Cruises is venturing into the German cruise market.
The cruise provider is teaming up with TUI AG to form TUI Cruises which will offer a tailored cruise service geared towards the German demographic.
From early 2009 a ship will be renovated to fit this requirement and will serve the needs of German-speaking customers who are looking for a modern and high-quality cruise experience.
"We are very pleased by our new partnership and our new partner. Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd is truly a leader in the cruise vacation industry and TUI Cruises will greatly benefit from its expertise," commented TUI Chief Executive Officer Dr Michael Frenzel.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Chairman Richard Fain added that he was "thrilled" by the development.
Two brand new ships will also be built ready to enter into service in 2011 and 2012.
