has appointed its first ever female captain.
Swedish mariner Karin Stahre-Janson has gained responsibility for Monarch of the Seas
, which operates charming four-night cruises to from Los Angeles to San Diego, Catalina and Ensenada.
Highlights of the ship include a make-your-own pizzeria and first-rate spa facilities.
