A leading maritime mobile phone firm has signed up to provide
MSC Cruises passengers with roaming services on all ships.
Constantin Simeonidis, chief executive of On Waves, said the launch of code divisional multiple access (CDMA) services will enhance passenger experience across the cruise line's fleet.
"To have renewed the trust of an organisation like MSC Cruises is a great endorsement," he commented, adding: "We expect the launch of CDMA services will further increase overall usage of mobile devices."
The agreement will also cover all of the company's new-builds in the future.
Recently, MSC Cruises announced it will be catering specifically to the tastes of UK passengers in its restaurants on the MSC Lirica.
In addition to water carafes at lunch and dinner, guests will be able to enjoy a wide selection of cheeses and hot tea or brewed coffee at the end of meals.
There will also be culinary demonstrations and wine tasting sessions.
