It has been announced that
Royal Caribbean Cruises is to send one of its ships Down Under for the winter cruise season.
The
Rhapsody of the Seas is to make fourteen cruises around Australia which range from seven to fourteen nights, giving travellers the opportunity to enjoy an
Australasia cruise that fits in with them.
While officially the world's smallest continent, Australia has a wealth of culture, nature and heritage to be discovered - its name in Latin means "unknown land of the south".
"Vacationers have a greater breadth of choices for
Royal Caribbean Cruises adventures to the great land Down Under in 2008-09," commented Alice Norsworthy, Senior Vice President of Marketing at the cruise line.
She added that the deployment of the
Rhapsody of the Seas for the whole winter season would help to "meet travellers' demand for our innovative ships".
The
Rhapsody of the Seas boasts several pools and a spa to ensure that relaxation is key on a cruise around Australia.
