The Queens Room - set to be one of the major public spaces aboard the new
Cunard Cruises vessel
Queen Victoria - is nearing completion, it has been revealed.
According to Cunard Cruises, the Queens Room is set to "redefine grand" as the finishing touches are made to its dance floor.
The Queens Room will be the setting for cocktail parties hosted by the captain, Cunard World Club events and formal balls as well as "white-gloved" English tea afternoons.
Englishness is a feature carried on throughout the ship - and in particular the Queens Room.
"The room's stunning ceilings feature a pair of gleaming crystal chandeliers as well as specially commissioned murals - by British artists - reinforcing the line's British heritage," Cunard Cruises notes.
Queen Victoria, much like fellow Cunard Cruise ships such as
Queen Elizabeth 2 is likely to attract passengers wishing to enjoy a more formal cruise.
The latest inclusion in the
Cunard Cruises is due to make her debut this December.
