Cruisers onboard the forthcoming
Queen Victoria can look forward to a striking entertainment programme,
Cunard Cruises has announced.
Some 16 classically-trained dancers and singers are preparing for four major theatrical performances set to stun voyagers onboard the new vessel.
Productions are to take place in the Royal Court Theatre, a three-tiered space evoking a traditional, luxurious era of opulent drama.
Designed by Frank Matcham, the venue includes the first-ever private boxes to be constructed at sea, housing 48 guests, who are to be offered a selection of high-quality refreshments.
"What Cunard presents is on a par with the highest calibre of world class productions,? said Carol Marlow, President of
Cunard Cruises.
"From the set decor and talent to the beautiful costumes by renowned theatrical designers, the work reflects a deep understanding of our guests' cultural intellect."
As the QE2 embarks on her final voyages,
Queen Victoria looks to be taking up her baton, spurring the line's famed brand of luxury cruising into the new millennium.
