Princess Cruises has announced the launch of a brand new restaurant specialising in wild seafood at its Denali Princess Wilderness Lodge for travellers on its
Alaskan cruises.
The King Salmon eatery focuses on seafood from the region, offering passengers a range of fruits de mer, including juicy king crab legs, highly-esteemed halibut and range of wild salmon dishes.
Located at the gateway to the stunning Denali National Park and Preserve, the restaurant hosts 250 guests and offers a unique dining option to those on a cruise and stay break in Alaska.
Charlie Ball, President of Princess Tours, said: "We're especially excited to open this restaurant because it allows us to deliver an experience our guests have been craving."
He added that a survey of its passengers last year saw many wanting an opportunity to enjoy local Alaskan cuisine on their cruise holidays, leading to the decision to open the King Salmon.
Last month,
Princess Cruisesannounced that its itineraries for 2008 would see five of its ships sailing to Alaska, with the smaller
Tahitian Princess giving passengers the chance of taking a 14-day connoisseur luxury cruise to the region.
