Princess Cruises has announced it intends to embark on an extensive upgrade of its 18-ship fleet.
The improvements will take place next year and see features including pool-side move screens and adult-only retreats being introduced, reports Travel Weekly.
Pieter van der Schee, head of brand marketing at the cruise line, said he had received positive feedback from guests who have stayed onboard the company's newest vessels.
He added that when the Grand Princess sets sail on her maiden season of Mediterranean voyages from Southampton in the summer, she "will have the popular 300 sq ft poolside Movies under the Star screen and the adults-only outdoor spa retreat, The Sanctuary".
Princess Cruises offers more than 90 unique cruise itineraries and sails to over 270 destinations around the world.
Its fleet includes the Caribbean Princess, the Crown Princess and the Sapphire Princess.
