After proving wildly popular on board trial cruiseliners,
Princess Cruises' signature Movies Under the Stars open-air cinemas will be rolled out across the entire fleet, the company has announced.
In a statement, the group claimed that the 300-square-foot screens will be put in place over the next few years and will show movies, concerts and sporting events throughout the day and into the evening.
"Movies Under the Stars has become such a popular part of the Princess entertainment experience on those ships that have it, that we were inspired to expand it across the fleet," said Jan Swartz, Princess senior vice-president.
She added that the screens provided fun and entertainment that the whole family will enjoy.
In addition to being able to watch cult films, the Super Bowl and concert footage, passengers can also take part in computer game contests on the state of the art screens.
And while kids do battle on the gigantic screen, parents might want to enjoy the onboard Lotus spa and fitness facilities, which Princess passengers can book for hourly sessions or an entire day
