Holidaymakers hoping to book a place on one of
P&O Cruises 2010 world voyages can officially do so from today (September 15th).
P&O's round-the-world cruises will depart in January 2010, with the
Aurora offering a "connoisseur voyage" aimed at seasoned travellers, while the
Arcadia is set to complete her first circumnavigation of the world.
The cruise line's managing director, Nigel Esdale, commented: "These two world voyages complete our most varied winter programme yet, with two-week Caribbean fly-cruises and month long Southampton round trip sailings already on offer for winter 2009-2010. Winter cruising and longer voyages are particularly popular with experienced cruisers."
Mr Esdale added that an increasing number of first-time cruisers were opting to take the plunge and book round-the-world voyages.
Leaving on January 5th 2010, the Aurora will call at destinations including Hong Kong, Sydney and Hiroshima, while the Arcadia departs on January 10th and stops at destinations such as Ko Samui, Aukland and Honolulu.
In related news, a recent study carried out by P&O Cruises revealed that the cost of holidays at sea has decreased significantly over the last decade.
