Onboard entertainment 'getting better'

Date Posted: 29 Jan 2008
Improved entertainment onboard cruise ships is predicted to be "another good trend" for 2008, it has been revealed.

According to Cruise Mates, the entertainment onboard cruise ships is becoming increasingly more modern and better-suited to today's archetype of customer.

Cruise Mates reveals that Royal Caribbean Cruises in particular is attuned to this trend, giving the example of its regular booking of Beatles tribute band Beatlemania Live.

Royal Caribbean Cruises is currently aiming an advertising campaign that aims to promote the brand to a younger style of cruiser.

The target demographic of Royal Caribbean Cruises is couples and singles aged 30 to 50 in addition to family holidaymakers.

Most guests are "active travellers" seeking affordable and adventurous cruise holidays.

This is reflected in the line's facilities which include rock climbing walls, ice skating rinks, whirlpools, golf courses and more.

What our customers say

"I booked a Fred Olsen cruise with IGLU last month and was so impressed by the service I received. The staff member I spoke to was Kimberley and she was exemplary. Capable, kind, professional, patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She went through every step of the way calmly and thoroughly. IGLU were recommended to me by friends and I have no hesitation in passing the recommendation along. Well done IGLU and thank you. "

"So easy to deal with, I studied the Cruise I wanted, did my research with different company's and returned to Iglu. I had three quotes matching Iglu’s cost, but with one phone call they beat the price themselves by £40 without me even asking, how easy was that! "
