Cruise line
Ocean Village is stepping up its campaign to attract casual cruisers by making its television advertising debut.
Potential cruise passengers can expect to see the red and pink "hot" colours of the
Ocean Village logo backed up by the distinctive voice of ex-Eastenders actress Tamsin Outhwaite on ITV ahead of the summer 2008 cruise season.
The campaign is set to focus on the cruise company's ethos of providing cruise holidays for people who "don't do cruises" and will feature beach scenes, mountain biking and "lazy" alfresco lunches.
"By focusing on the brand's signature colours and laid-back, casual style, we've aimed to produce an ad that motivates cruise virgins, has a fresh, upbeat feel and is inalienably
Ocean Village," commented Gill Haynes, Head of Marketing at the cruise line.
According to
Ocean Village, the marketing campaign is targeted at the 35-54 year-old demographic.
The advertising campaign will launch on January 11th 2008 and will run during peak-time programming.
