Strong bookings for the future have been received by
Royal Caribbean Cruises for its new cruise liner, the Oasis of the Seas, it has been revealed.
Richard Fain, chief executive of Royal Caribbean, has remarked that despite the ship not being scheduled for delivery until November, there has been a large amount of demand among passengers.
The ship is set to be the largest cruise ship in the world through it having 16 decks and 2,700 rooms, while it is also the most expensive ever made.
However, passengers remain undeterred with the demand double the number typically witnessed when a new ship is announced and those at the head of the queue looking forward to the vessel's maiden voyage on December 1st.
According to Reuters, Mr Fain said in a recent interview: "We've never before had a ship with this good forward bookings. The rates are higher than any other new ship ... even in this economy."
Meanwhile, it was stated earlier this year that Royal Caribbean will sail eight of its ships around Europe next year.
