The latest addition to the
Silversea Cruises flotilla is set to sail on its inaugural voyage from London later this year.
TravelMole reports that the former World Discover ship, once part of Society Expeditions, will sail from the UK capital in summer 2008.
It is likely that the vessel will sail to Antarctica after it undergoes a multi-million dollar refurbishment programme.
"Adventure travel is about having experiences that are intellectually enriching, so every voyage will feature a carefully selected expedition team of lecturers and leading experts who will share their insights," president of
Silversea Cruises Amerigo Perasso commented.
According to Cruise Critic, rumour has it that the refurbished vessel will be renamed Silver Dawn.
The ship will be fitted with 66 cabins, which the line claims will be the largest accommodation on expedition class ships.
