Launched last month in a glittering ceremony in Naples, MSC Fantasia has been described by her owners as "the most beautiful ship in the world" and, according to cruise critic David Wickers of the Times, she certainly has a great deal to offer.
On the surface Fantasia looks much like other superliners; however, Mr Wickers points out that despite the ship's size, the cruise line has succeeded in creating an intimate feel inside.
"Many new ships scream bling and brass, but Fantasia's design is subtle and imaginative," he commented.
Describing each section of the ship as a "triumph in good looks", he said the cabins are tastefully decorated with pleasant colour schemes.
However, Mr Wickers warned potential passengers not to expect wide open spaces, given the intimate design of the ship.
Other vessels in the
MSC Cruises' fleet include the MSC Lirica, Opera and Rhapsody.
