Cruise fans will be able to enjoy the
Mariner of the Seas ship from
Royal Caribbean Cruises again next year as the vessel prepares to head to destinations including the Mediterranean and South America.
Royal Caribbean has announced that next year will begin with a short period offering itineraries visiting locations including Chile and Brazil, before coming to Europe for the summer.
Mariner of the Seas' home part between March and October 2011 will be in Rome, taking over from
Splendour of the Seas, which will now call Venice home during trips around Turkey and the Greek Isles.
When arriving in the Caribbean, Mariner of the Seas will become Royal Caribbean's record-setting 11th ship to take in the region during 2011.
Among the highlights awaiting passengers cruising on board the vessel are 15 decks of entertainment, accommodation and activity.
Alongside a screening room showing all of the latest films, passengers can take advantage of a family pool area with a water slide, an ice skating rink and a nine hole golf course.
In total, Mariner of the Seas is large enough to host 3,114 passengers.
